Government Cuts to Pharmacy Funding

Warley MP John Spellar is meeting local pharmacists to hear their concerns about Government cuts to pharmacy funding of £170 million.

John Spellar MP said:-

“I find it extraordinary that at a time when there is huge pressure on doctors surgeries the Government should be cutting pharmacies which provide a frontline service.

“I am also very concerned that the cuts will fall particularly heavily on local family owned pharmacies.  There is an on-line petition which has already attracted 39,000 signatures and I would urge everyone to sign it.”

The meeting will take place at 10.30am on Friday, 12th February at Hill Top Pharmacy, 1 Pottery Road, Oldbury, West Midlands B68 9EX.  Would welcome a photographer.
