Tories press for repeal of the Hunting Act to be included in the Queen's Speech

Calls by Tory MPs to scrap the Hunting Act have produced a swift response from Midlands Labour MP John Spellar.

Stories appeared in the media over the weekend that Tory MPs were pressing for this to be included in next week’s Queen’s Speech.

John Spellar MP said:-

“Only a week after the election the Tories are showing their true colours and priorities.  My constituents are clear that they want no return to the barbaric hunting of foxes by hounds and I will oppose it every inch of the way.”
